Cover the pumpkin with water and add the calcium stones
Mix until dissolved and let it soak for 12 hours
After that, wash, place in a saucepan, add one cup of sugar, cover, and simmer over low heat for 35 minutes or until soft
Let the pedãos air-dry on a wire rack for three days

Bring the remaining sugar and water to a boil
Remove from heat, add the pumpkin, and stir to coat
After five minutes, remove the pedãos and let them sit on a wire rack until the syrup has thickened.
