Step 1: Remove the shell from the cashews and cut a 1-centimeter thick slice at the bottom (the handle)
Step 2: Peel the fruits and, using a toothpick, make small holes on their surface
Squeeze them slightly and reserve
Step 3: Place 1 liter of water in a large pot and add the cashews and lime juice
Bring to a boil over high heat for 10 minutes
Remove and drain
Step 4: In a medium pot, put 2 cups and 1/2 cup of water and the grated cashew and bring it to a boil over high heat, stirring until dissolved
Step 5: Add the cashews and cook until boiling
Reduce the heat and cook for 2 hours or until the syrup is slightly thickened and golden.
