Beat the sugar with the butter until light and fluffy
Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition
Mix in the flour, chocolate, and baking powder
Alternate adding the cream and milk, beating until smooth
Beat until stiff peaks form
Folding gently, add the beaten egg whites
Pour the batter into an ungreased 9-inch springform pan
Bake at 350°F for about 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Allow to cool completely before slicing into 16 pieces.
