In a large saucepan, combine dried apricots or plums and raisins with three cups of water for one hour
Add the cinnamon stick, apple slices, pear slices, and cook over low heat with the saucepan covered for about 15 minutes, or until the fruits are tender
Mix in the dissolved gelatin with hot water and stir well
Add the orange wedges and refrigerate for one day to the next
Serves eight.
