1 1/2 kg of grapefruits
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of water
1 1/2 kg of grapefruits

Peel the grapefruits and cut them in half
Remove the seeds and pulp and set aside
Combine the sugar and water in a pot
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes without stirring
Add the peeled grapefruit halves and cook for 20 more minutes with the lid on low heat
Remove the lid and simmer for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
Remove from heat and let cool
Serves 6-8 people.
