2 liters of milk
4 cups of sugar
2 liters of milk
4 cups of sugar
Heat the milk and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens (about 30 minutes)
Stop heating the mixture and stir constantly until it reaches a firm ball consistency (test by removing some of the mixture from the pan and letting it cool; if it forms a firm ball, it's ready)
Remove the saucepan from the heat and beat the mixture vigorously with a wooden spoon until it thickens and loses its sheen
Pour the prepared mixture onto a damp surface
Cover with a clean towel and then roll out the candy to a thickness of 1 cm (see photo number 1)
Remove the towel and cut the still-warm candy into diamonds or shapes (see photo number 2)
Let it cool completely before placing the candies in an airtight container
Store well sealed and enjoy your 70 milk candies.
