4 ripe tomatoes
1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
1 and 1/2 cups of water
Cinnamon stick and cloves to taste

Remove tomato skins
Cut them in half, discard seeds and place them upside down on a plate to drain well
Mix sugar with water and bring to the boil
Cook until it forms a thick syrup
Add cinnamon, cloves, and tomatoes
Simmer over low heat for five minutes
Remove from heat and let sit at room temperature overnight
Serve at room temperature.
