1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup (125 g) butter or margarine, cut into small pieces
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fillling:
2 cups mashed potatoes, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup grated coconut
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Mix the flour and salt
Add the butter or margarine in small pieces, mixing until crumbly
Mix the egg, heavy cream, and lemon juice
Add the previous mixture
Knead with a fork until the dough forms a ball
Fatten mini-molds greased with the dough
Place the filling (mix the ingredients) and cover with a dough cap
Close the edges well
Bake in a moderate oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown
Remove from the oven and let cool
To serve, if desired, top with grated coconut mixed with lemon juice and 1 candied cherry.
