Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces
Fry the chicken and onion in butter or margarine until they're lightly browned together
Add the chicken broth and cook until the chicken is tender
Finally, add the ketchup
Check to see if the seasoning suits your taste
To vary, add heavy cream to the fricassee.
