In a large saucepan, bring the green beans to a boil in boiling water until tender (about 15 minutes)
Drain and reserve
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
Cook the remaining ingredients, stirring constantly, until they are soft (about 5 minutes)
Add the green beans, increase the heat, and let it simmer well
Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately
