1 cup of store-bought or homemade butter
3 medium onions, sliced and then cut in half
1 kg of dried beef (ox tail), desalted and ground
Chopped fresh parsley to taste
1 1/2 kg of cooked cassava (manioc) with salt and mashed
250 g of creamy cheese (Catupiry type)
Parmesan cheese to taste
1 cup of store-bought or homemade butter

1 1/2 kg of cooked cassava (manioc) with salt and mashed

Parmesan cheese to taste
Heat the butter in a pan, then sauté the onion until it's translucent
Add the dried beef and cook for a bit, then turn off the heat and add parsley
In a baking dish, layer the cassava puree, followed by a layer of the beef mixture
Spread a thin layer of creamy cheese on top of the beef, then cover with more cassava puree
Finally, sprinkle Parmesan cheese to taste
If desired, bake in a conventional oven for 30 minutes and finish under the broiler for an additional 5 minutes.
