Cut the pumpkin into 16 pieces
Cook them in boiling water until they're almost tender
Wrap each piece of pumpkin in a slice of bacon
Assemble skewers by alternating a piece of pumpkin with an onion
Place the skewers on the grill, sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste, and turn occasionally until the vegetables are tender
Serve 4 skewers.
