1 box of strawberries, washed and cut in half
1 cup of heavy cream
Lime juice from 1 lime
1 cup of light whipping cream
1/3 cup of Port wine or cherry liqueur or, if preferred, cassis cream
5-6 small whipped cream cups

In a saucepan, bring to low heat and cook for five minutes the strawberries, sugar, and lime juice
Then add the heavy cream and your preferred beverage
Wait for it to simmer
Pour everything into a serving dish
With your hands, break the whipped creams
Combine them with the rest, mixing well
Serve still warm
If desired, place some fresh strawberry halves on top to garnish and give a slightly more acidic flavor to the dessert.
