There are two ways to cook beans: in a pressure cooker and in a regular pot
Let's follow the steps for the pressure cooker, which is more commonly used for this cooking method:
Soak the beans in cold water for at least 2 hours to hydrate them
Drain the beans and transfer them to a pressure cooker with cold water, salt, and rosemary
The amount of water should always be at least double the volume of grains
Close the pressure cooker and bring it to a boil
Reduce heat and cook for approximately 30 minutes

Check if the beans are tender after removing from heat
Cooking time varies greatly depending on the type and quality of grain
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onion until it's translucent
Add the beans and let them simmer at low heat until the liquid thickens and turns dark.
