1 1.5 kg chicken cut into 6 pieces
2 tablespoons of oil
2 tablespoons of butter
3 slices of bacon cut in half
6 ripe tomato slices
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons of fresh thyme, chopped
1 finely minced clove of garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of dry white wine

Preheat the oven
Brush both sides of the chicken pieces with butter and oil
Place the chicken pieces in a baking dish and cover each piece with half a slice of bacon and a tomato slice
Mix together thyme, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper, and sprinkle a little over each tomato slice
Pour the white wine over the chicken
Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes, basting the chicken occasionally with its own fat
