Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°)
Wash the chicken pieces and pat them dry
Place the flour, salt, and black pepper in a paper bag and shake to mix well
Add the chicken pieces to the bag, shaking to coat evenly
Fry the chicken pieces in olive oil until browned on both sides
Remove the chicken from the pan, leaving about 1 tablespoon of oil
Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook until softened, without browning
Combine the orange juice and stir well
Pour the mixture over the chicken and arrange the orange segments on top
Cover and bake for approximately 40 minutes or until the chicken is tender
Serve hot.
