2 1/2 cups of finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
3 pounds of chicken cut into pieces (thighs, legs, and wings)
salt to taste
1 cup of chicken broth
1/2 cup of sour cream

Fry the onion in butter or margarine until it starts browning at low heat
Add the paprika and stir well
Add the chicken pieces and cook for 25 minutes, turning them occasionally
Add salt and hot chicken broth
Cover and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes
Remove from heat and let it sit in the refrigerator, covered, for a day or two
When serving, place the pan over medium heat and let it simmer
Add sour cream and stir well
Note: Do not let it boil after adding sour cream, as this can curdle it
Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs, if desired
