1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
6 firm and cold tomatoes

Mix the dry ingredients together and add the beaten egg
Gradually add the milk
Add the melted butter
Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds and dip them in the previous mixture
Fry in plenty of hot oil or fat until they're golden brown and the tomatoes are tender
