1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup of cold water
to taste salt
lemon juice
a few drops of hot pepper sauce
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of finely chopped onion
3/4 cup of chopped green olives
1/4 cup of pitted and chopped black olives
4 hard-boiled eggs, diced
lettuce leaves
2 hard-boiled eggs, cut into sticks (optional)
hot pepper strips (optional)

Soak the gelatin in cold water until it dissolves, then let it cool
Add salt, lemon juice, and hot pepper sauce to the mixture
Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving
Whisk together the mayonnaise and chopped onion
Add the remaining ingredients except lettuce leaves and whisk until well combined
Pour into a 3-cup mold or shape and refrigerate until firm
Unmold onto lettuce leaves
If desired, garnish with sticks of hard-boiled eggs and hot pepper strips
Serve in four portions.
