Bring a pot with the water and salt to a boil, covered

When the water starts boiling, reduce heat to medium and add the Swiss chard
Cook for 5 minutes, then drain and reserve

In another pot, combine the olive oil and garlic
Bring to medium heat and stir occasionally until the garlic is golden brown
Add the reserved Swiss chard and black pepper
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed
Serve.
