Beat the eggs with sugar in a mixer for 10 minutes
Melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler and add to the egg mixture
Add the flour and baking soda gradually and mix until smooth and airy
Grease a 20 cm diameter round cake pan with butter and dust with flour
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake at 220°C for 10 minutes
Chocolate Syrup
Mix all the ingredients of the syrup and bring to a simmer
Reduce heat to low and let it thicken to 1/3 of the original quantity
When ready, drizzle over the cake.
