Let the gelatin soften in half a cup of hot water
While that's happening, whip the egg whites with salt and add sugar, continuing to whip until stiff (but not too stiff!)
Combine the milk, liquor, and dissolved gelatin; mix well
Cut up any leftover fruit into small pieces, about 2 cups worth, drained well
Add the fruit to the gelatin mixture, pour it into a neat mold, and refrigerate for a day or two
When serving, remove from the mold
Serve with whipped cream or gem-topped cream, and don't forget to lick your lips afterwards!
