2 cups boiling water
1/4 cup cold water
1 1/4 cups white wine
3 1/2 cups sliced strawberries (600g)
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to serve (optional)

Dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water
Combine with cold water and wine
Pour into a shallow glass dish, about 8 cm deep and 18 cm in diameter, and refrigerate until slightly set
Add sliced strawberries, some at a time, gently pushing them to the sides and center of the dish with a knife
Refrigerate until firm
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired
Serves 6-8 people.
