Wash the oranges well and cut them in half
Remove the seeds and the white part
Cut finely
Add 2 cups of water for every cup of fruit and let it rest overnight
Heat it slowly until the orange is tender
Add 1 cup of sugar for every cup of cooked fruit
Combine with orange juice and cook for 20 minutes or until the mixture thickens
Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently
Place in sterilized jars and seal hermetically.
