8 cups of clean strawberries cut into 4 parts

Combine all ingredients in a large pot and let it rest for 1 hour
Heat slowly until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally
Cook quickly for 30 to 40 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently to prevent sticking at the bottom
Pour into warm, sterilized jars
Cover and store
Makes 5 jars of 250g each
