1 kg of short ribs cut into cubes
120 g of smoked bacon
4 large onions, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup tomato extract
4 cups beef broth
1 sprig of rosemary
4 cloves garlic, minced
Thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon caraway seeds (Kümmel)
1 crushed clove of garlic
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Fry the bacon
Remove excess fat from the pork and reserve
In the remaining fat, sauté the onion until it browns
Add beef broth, green pepper, rosemary, garlic, thyme, and caraway seeds
Stir well
Add the short ribs
Cook until the meat is tender
Afterwards, add butter or margarine, sweet paprika, and flour
Stir well
Add tomato extract and 1 cup of water, and simmer for another half hour, stirring occasionally
When ready, add fried bacon
Serve with macaroni
