12 ripe passion fruit pods
1 1/2 cup (or 300ml) of sugar
1 cup (or 240ml) of water
To taste: cloves and cinnamon sticks

Remove the pulp from the passion fruit
Place it in a pot and cover with cold water
Let it simmer for two minutes
Drain and rinse under cold running water
Set aside
Mix the sugar with the water and bring to a boil until a thin custard forms
Add the set-aside passion fruit pulp, cloves, and cinnamon sticks, and cook for 15 minutes or until the custard thickens
Serve with whipped cream
