1/4 cup tightly packed brown sugar in a bowl
3 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
a cinnamon stick

Peel the lemons, removing all white parts
Cut into slices and remove seeds
Arrange on two serving plates, overlapping them slightly
Cook the remaining ingredients over low heat, stirring frequently for about 3 minutes
Remove the cinnamon stick
Spoon over the lemons and serve
Serve warm.
