Make a saucepan with the cornmeal, milk, salt, and sugar; let it cook until the bottom of the pan appears (consistency of pudding)
Let it cool down
Warmly mix in the whole coconut, coconut milk, butter, oil or lard, eggs (one at a time), and mix well, adding vanilla
Grease a large plate and put it in the oven
Leave to brown and cut into squares while still hot.
