1 Preheat the oven to 180°C
In a bowl, whisk together the egg whites and sugar
Place the mixture over low heat in a bain-marie, whisking until the ingredients are fully incorporated
Remove from the bain-marie and beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form
2 Place the meringue in a piping bag and onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to shape into a nest-like design
Bake with the oven door slightly ajar until golden brown
Filling
Beat the whipped cream with sugar until it forms stiff peaks
Fill the meringues and top with chopped strawberries.
