1/2 cup unsalted butter or margarine at room temperature

2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch of salt
1 cup crystallized fruits, chopped
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Glaze:
1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons milk
cherries for garnish

Mix butter or margarine, ricotta or cheese, and flour until light and fluffy
Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well
Combine flour, yeast, baking soda, and salt, then add to mixture
Stir in crystallized fruits and nuts
Mix well
Grease small molds and fill 2/3 full
Bake at moderate heat (170°C) for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden
Remove from oven
Let cool for 2 minutes, then remove from molds
To make the glaze: Combine confectioner's sugar and milk in a bowl, whisking until smooth
Cover the morsels with the glaze and garnish with cherries.
