1 1/2 cups of instant oats

1 cup of dried dates and apricots, chopped
1/4 cup of brown sugar

Prepare ahead: Mix together the oats, almonds, and puffed rice or wheat flakes
Spread in a 30 x 23 x 2.5 cm baking dish
Place in a hot oven (220°C) and bake for 10 minutes, stirring once
Add the dried dates, apricots, and brown sugar and mix well
Transfer to an airtight container
Serve with milk if desired
Yield: 4 1/2 cups.
