Mix together the flour and salt in a large bowl
Divide the ingredients into two bowls
Mix well
Add the vegetable shortening or margarine, cut into small pieces, and mix until well distributed
Add the cold water all at once and mix lightly until the flour absorbs it
If the dough is too sticky, dust with a little flour and mix until almost no longer sticks to the bowl
Divide the dough into 22 rolls (10 rolls for 22 simple cakes of 24 cm in diameter)
Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil and store in the freezer
The dough rolls can be stored frozen for up to 1 year
