2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of wheat flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of mustard paste or 2 tablespoons of mustard seeds
4 beaten eggs
1/4 cup of melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups of milk
1/3 cup of vinegar
Optional: 1 pinch of paprika
2 tablespoons of sugar

Combine the sugar, flour, salt, and mustard
Add the eggs, butter or margarine, and milk
Mix well
Gradually add the vinegar
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened
If desired, add a pinch of paprika
Let cool while mixing occasionally
Refrigerate and serve
Sufficient for 1 large cabbage head.
