In a large saucepan, combine the onion, damasco, and butter

Microwave on high for 6 minutes or until the onion is soft

Remove from the microwave and transfer to a blender

Add the white wine and blend until smooth

Return the mixture to the saucepan and add the cornstarch dissolved in chicken broth

Blend and microwave on high for an additional 4 minutes, stirring halfway or until slightly thickened
