1 orange, peeled and cut into slices, without the white part

In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, liqueur, raisins, and butter or margarine
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat
Stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts
Add orange juice and cornstarch in a separate bowl
Whisk until smooth
Add to the saucepan mixture
Add sliced oranges
Cook and stir constantly until thickened
Perfect accompaniment for roast beef, duck or turkey.
