Wash the scallops thoroughly and place them in a pot with 2 cloves of garlic
Bring to a boil, cover the pot, and cook until the shells open
Remove from heat, strain, and reserve the liquid
Remove the scallops from their shells
If any shell is closed, discard it
In another pot, heat the olive oil with the remaining garlic and bring to a simmer
Add the scallops and sauté for a few minutes
Add the parsley, reserved cooking liquid, and cook for an additional 2 minutes
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Serve over 1 kg of spaghetti-style macaroni
