1 salted codfish (1.5 kg)
2 chopped onions
4 tablespoons of chopped cilantro
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons of achiote paste
3 tablespoons of olive oil
Lime juice
0.5 kg of avocado, cut into pieces
3 bananas from the earth
To taste salt

The codfish should be salted for 4 days beforehand
Leave it to soak in water overnight before rinsing off the salt
Cook the avocado without letting it get too mushy
In a clay pot, place the fish cut into large pieces and, on top of that, the raw bananas peeled and chopped
Cover with layers of avocado and all the chopped seasonings: onions, cilantro, red bell pepper, tomatoes
Baste with olive oil and achiote paste
Bring to a boil and, when it starts to simmer, add salt to taste
When the fish is tender and the bananas are cooked, add lime juice
Remove from heat and serve.
