Preheat the oven to 350°F (medium)
Grease a dozen muffin tins with plenty of butter and set aside. Reserve
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and yeast
Mix in chocolate chips and pecans, then reserve
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
Remove from heat and let cool slightly
In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract
Add the melted butter and whisk until smooth
Fold in the flour mixture, then divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin tins
Dust with granulated sugar and bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving
