Dissolve the gelatin in hot water, in a large bowl; let it sit in the refrigerator until it thickens slightly
Add the egg whites without beating
Beat with an electric mixer at high speed, until the mixture maintains its shape
Pour into a mold and refrigerate until firm
Unmold and decorate with pecan halves and grated coconut.
