4 cups of wheat flour
1/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of melted butter
2 tablespoons of Porto wine
2 tablespoons of brandy
1 egg
4 egg yolks
2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar

Mix all dough ingredients in a bowl
Place on a floured surface and knead well to obtain a homogeneous mass
Roll out the dough to a thin thickness, in small pieces
Then, cut into 0.5 cm wide strips and entwine six dough strips, each time forming a "nest"
Fry one nest at a time in 3 cm of oil, turning with a slotted spoon to golden brown both sides
Drain on paper towels and dust with confectioner's sugar
Make around 40 nests
