13/4 cup of sugar

8 eggs

Place the sugar and water in a saucepan and cook over high heat, stirring with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves
Stop stirring and let the syrup reach the honey-like consistency (see left)
Let it cool down
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs
Pour the egg mixture into the syrup
Heat it up again and cook, stirring constantly, until you get a smooth and thick mixture
Pour it into a serving dish, let it cool, and serve.
