1 liter of milk
1/2 cup of cornstarch
4 egg yolks, separated
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
4 tablespoons of orange juice
2 tablespoons of grated orange zest
4 tablespoons of melted chocolate
1 package of chocolate sticks
2 tablespoons of orange gelatin
1 liter of milk
1/2 cup of cornstarch
4 egg yolks, separated
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
4 tablespoons of orange juice
2 tablespoons of grated orange zest
4 tablespoons of melted chocolate
1 package of chocolate sticks
2 tablespoons of orange gelatin
Separate the egg yolks from the whites and reserve
In a saucepan, combine milk mixed with cornstarch
Heat over low heat, whisking constantly, until slightly thickened
Add the egg yolks
Whisk until thickened, without stopping to mix
Add vanilla extract
Remove from heat and let cool, stirring occasionally to prevent curdling
Bring sugar and water to a boil in a separate saucepan
Reduce heat to low and simmer until it reaches thread stage
While that's happening, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form
Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg whites, beating until smooth
Combine with whipped cream
Divide the cream into 2 parts; one part adds orange juice and zest, the other part adds melted chocolate
Dip the chocolate sticks in the creams, alternating between light and dark, and use gelatin to stick them to the sides of a glass bowl, forming a design
Fill alternately with the creamy mixtures, clear and colored, and if desired, stir once more
Refrigerate for several hours before serving
Serve in 10 portions.
