4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted

250g Minas Cheese, crumbled
1 beaten egg
'1 teaspoon oregano
'1 tablespoon chopped green onion

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup all-purpose flour and baking powder
Add warm water and yeast, mixing well
In another bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup all-purpose flour and hot water to form a thick batter
Let cool until lukewarm, then mix with the yeast mixture
Let rest for 15 minutes
Gradually add remaining flour and salt, kneading until a firm dough forms
Knead well
Shape into a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap oiled with oil, and let rise in a protected area until doubled in volume (1 hour or less)
Mix Minas Cheese with half the beaten egg, oregano, and chopped green onion
Fold in half to form a rectangle of about 30 x 45 cm
Cut into squares of 10cm
Place 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture on each square, fold the four corners to the middle forming a pouch, and place on a greased baking sheet
Brush with the remaining beaten egg
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes
Let cool, then serve.
