Mix the fruit juice into the confectioner's sugar, stirring until a firm dough forms
Heat the mixture on low heat in a saucepan, stirring until it becomes syrupy
Drip small amounts onto a sheet of parchment paper
Allow to dry for 12 hours
COLORFUL ROLLS: Use vegetable dye (found at specialty stores), dissolve in a little water, and drizzle over the confectioner's sugar mixture to achieve the desired color (with grape juice, they become pink)
CHOCOLATE ROLLS: Mix 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder into the confectioner's sugar, stirring with water
Finish as for simple rolls
CAFFEINE ROLLS: Mix 1 tablespoon of Nescafe into the confectioner's sugar, stirring with water (same process as for simple rolls)
HORTELA ROLLS: Stir in water, drip 2 or 3 drops of hortela essence (available at pharmacies), and tint with green dye
NOTE: This may be considered the simplest recipe in the world! It's very suitable for children's parties when we want simplicity of ingredients and lots of color.
