1 tablespoon of baking soda (special for cooking)

Mix the peanut pieces, water, and peanuts together and bring to a simmer
Cook, stirring occasionally until the peanuts are toasted and golden brown (not too dark)
Add the condensed milk and baking soda
Stir vigorously for about 5 minutes
Remove from heat and continue beating for another 4 minutes until it loses its shine
Pour the mixture onto a greased marble surface
Cut into squares or lozenges
To prevent moisture, store in tightly closed jars
