1 kg of cod fillets (Garoupa or Badejo)
juice from 1 lime
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons of olive oil
salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 cup of water
2 thin slices of fresh ginger
1 tablespoon of grated lime zest
3 tablespoons of lime juice
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons of water
1/2 cup of natural yogurt
parsley for garnish

Wash and pat dry the fish
Soak the fish in lime juice for 10 minutes
Fry the onion in hot olive oil until it browns
Add the fish and fry both sides for 5 minutes
Season with salt, black pepper, water, ginger, lime zest, and lime juice
Cover and simmer slowly for 10 minutes
Mix flour with 4 tablespoons of water and add to the fish
Cook for an additional 2 minutes to thicken
Add the yogurt and remove from heat
Garnish with parsley and serve immediately
Serve in 4 portions.
