Cut a sheet of aluminum foil to the size needed for the fish
Spread a little butter or margarine in the center of it and arrange some onion rings on top
Season the fish inside with salt and black pepper, and place the fish in the center of the foil
Arrange the remaining onion rings over the fish
Sprinkle with the remaining ingredients and small pieces of butter or margarine
Fold the aluminum foil over the fish, sealing the ends well
Grill the fish in a moderate oven (170°C) for about 30 minutes, until it's cooked through, turning it two or three times
Serve on the same aluminum foil on a platter, drizzling each portion with the sauce
