Preheat the oven
Wash the zucchinis and cut them into 1/2 cm thick slices
Place the zucchinis in a baking dish and add enough water to cover
Allow it to come to a boil
Reduce heat, cover the dish, and cook for 3 minutes
Drain
Arrange the zucchinis in a small refractory form
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and grated cheese
Gently mix
Melt the butter or margarine and mix it with the breadcrumbs
Sprinkle over the zucchinis
Bake in a moderate oven until the breadcrumbs are golden brown
Serves 4-6 as an accompaniment to baked fish or chicken.
