1 cup of orange juice

4 firm pears

Peel the pears, leaving the core intact
Then, using a small knife, carefully cut around the core to remove the seeds
Place the fruits in a bowl and refrigerate them
Mix together the orange juice, wine, lime zest, and almond extract
Pour the mixture over the pears, cover, and microwave on high for about 25 minutes
During cooking, periodically bathe the pears with the wine sauce
Remove from the microwave and reserve the pears
Dust the sauce with gelatin and mix well
If desired, add a few drops of red coloring
Let it cool, then place the pears back in the sauce and refrigerate until serving.
